It’s a gift. I’m both honored and humbled to have it. I have yet to ascend to the level of knowing how it happens. For now, it’s enough that I act on what I “hear.”

Maybe you’ve been looking for an experienced massage therapist in Davie, FL. Maybe you’re wondering what I mean by “muscle whisperer.”
True story:
Recently, I was massaging a woman at Joyful Rising. When she turned face up and I got to the left side of her neck, a jumble came at me. Finally, I sensed one thing coming through clearly.
“There’s a lot going on here,” I said, stroking her neck with my thumb. “A lot of worry.”
“I’m a worrier,” she said.
“Remember you are divinely protected and divinely guided. You don’t need to carry this much worry.” I continued loosening the left side, stretching and such.
When I finished the one side and turned her head to the left, exposing the right side, the muscles were tense but in a different way. Sure enough, something else came through plain as day. “Anxiety is on this side.”
“I’m always anxious,” she said.
I’ve been there. What to do with Anxiety
“I get anxiety when I feel overwhelmed sometimes. There’s an affirmation that gets me through it and calms me down: Everything I need to know will be revealed at the right time, in the right place, and in the right sequence.”
When I moved to her right hand and arm, I can’t even put into words what I felt in her hand, but one thing came through clearly. “You tend to want to control everything. It’s dug in deep in your hand.”
“I do try to control everything,” she said. “You can feel that?”
I chuckled and exhaled. The muscles in the palm of her hand were bunched up tight, fingers held stiff. “Yeah. Let this go. There’s nothing to control here right now.” I massaged her hand and shook it out until it relaxed.
She wasn’t carrying nearly as much tension in the rest of her body. I noticed her left hand was already relaxed. That could be natural for her, or maybe the left side opened to trusting me after I’d helped the right side.
(Side Note: I learned about that back in school, and it’s a thing, actually. I’ve seen it play out over and over. When clients tell me during consultation that one side is bothering them, I’ll often start on the other side. If I start on the side with the complaint, those muscles will usually go into protective mode and tense up. That makes the work harder on me and less effective for my client. However, if I start on the other side and prove the promise, the whole body will relax and I can do what needs to be done to get the results.)
At the end of her service, she said, “Wow, you nailed it. I feel so relaxed! Thank you.”
I don’t call myself a Muscle Whisperer for nothing. I don’t see dead people. I don’t have telekinesis or telepathy. I sense/feel/hear — whatever you want to call it — emotional baggage trapped in muscle tissue.
When you’re ready to let that go, I’m happy to help.
